Dominick Thu Apr 01, 2010 12:55 pmSo, you're trying to install the game - you just spent who-knows how long waiting impatiently for the client to download, only for it to do so but when you go to install RoseOnline243.exe, you get an error! How awful! There must be something against you. 
If you look at the error, you'll notice that it says: Error reading from file C\----------\RoseOnline.msi. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.
The above that is bolded is an address to a file within your TEMP folder. Unfortunately the installer can't seem to find it! It's because it installed in a different folder, and didn't bother to inform the installer of the change. How mean!
So to fix this, you have to do the follow.
(Done in Windows XP. For Vista/7 or other operating systems, it should be similar. Google on how to find your TEMP folder if you can't.)
If you can't see the folder Local Settings, then you are hiding the hidden files and folders. To view them, do the following: Tools > Folder Options and then click on the View tab in the pop-up, and scroll down until you can see:

Make sure you have the SECOND option checked (Show hidden files and folders) and then click OK.
Once in your TEMP folder, CTRL-A and delete everything. You will come across files that can't and won't be deleted. Simply click OK, and then continue deleting all other files except those that won't be deleted.
Now, you have a nice clean TEMP folder! Yay! Keep it open. Then using another window, navigate to where you downloaded the RoseOnline243.exe to. Double click to start extracting it. If you look back into the window that you have your TEMP folder in, you'll notice a new folder there! Ohmy! Perhaps that will be where RoseOnline.msi will be found!? Well, yes, it will be - once it has finished extracting.
Now when it has finished extracting, it will start the installer. It might take a while - but still, you need to be quick. In the TEMP folder, in the new folder that appeared there (Will be named something like WZSE2.TMP) you will find the RoseOnline.msi file - click on it and CTRL-C, and then somewhere else on your computer (My Documents, for example), CTRL-V to paste the RoseOnline.msi file there.
You will notice that once the Installer has started, the RoseOnline.msi that was in your TEMP folder has disappeared... ohnoes! Isn't it lucky that you grabbed a copy before it did?
Go to where you copied the RoseOnline.msi file to, Double Click and run. Installer will start up again - this time, you SHOULD be able to install it.
No promises. This is what worked for me, more than once.

- Go to Local Disk (C:) and then navigate as such: Documents and Settings > YOURNAME > Local Settings > Temp
